Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Gridabyte Corp ("Gridabyte," "we") collects through our websites, including www.gridabyte.net and www.gridabyte.org, and how we use it. It does not cover the OpTMS application itself; if you subscribe, your account data is governed by your subscription agreement.

What we collect

• How you use the sites. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to see which pages are visited, which buttons are clicked, how far people scroll, and summary numbers from our calculators (for example, truck count or miles and the resulting estimate). This comes with standard device and browser information and an approximate location based on your IP address, collected through cookies or similar identifiers.
• What you send us. If you email us, request a meeting invite, or send feedback, we receive whatever you include, such as your name, email address, and any load details.
• Booking a conversation. Appointments are scheduled through Google Calendar. The name, email, and answers you enter there are processed by Google and shared with us so we can meet.

The free calculators

Numbers you type into the calculators are worked out in your own browser; we do not store them on our servers. To suggest addresses and measure routes, the text you type in an address box is sent to map services built on OpenStreetMap data (Photon and OSRM). The diesel price comes from the U.S. Energy Information Administration and is saved briefly in your browser so the page loads faster.

How we use it

To run and improve the sites and tools, to reply when you contact us, to schedule and hold meetings, and to understand which features are useful. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run these features: Google (Firebase hosting, Google Analytics, Google Calendar), the OpenStreetMap-based map services above, and the U.S. Energy Information Administration. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Your choices

• You can block or clear cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.
• You can use the calculators without giving us any contact information.
• You can ask us what we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@gridabyte.com.

Children

These sites are meant for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
